Hey all,
Friends with Benefits are good to have. When you have a contact that takes care of your needs with now strings attached, suddenly there is one less stress to worry about. When you are running a business, every stress is laid on your shoulders and it can get heavy quickly, so friends with benefits can be your best ally.
One of the best Friends with Benefits you can have is to become an eBay Powerseller! There are so many extra's you receive when you are eligible to join. Here are just a few:
-Enhanced eBay support
-Exclusive access the the eBay Powerseller Portal
-Access to better sourcing (reseller marketplace)
-Community Respect (so important!)
-eBay listing incentives and discounts (rumored to be coming soon!)
-ability to secure private funds for inventory
To be a Powerseller, you need to have a minimum of 90 days on the site, 100 feedback with 98% positive, and $1000/month of sales average over 3 months.
With a decent level of committment, it's not unreasonable at all to become a Powerseller within 90 days of a new account. Getting roughly a sale a day for 90 days and you're there! Let me know how I can help get you there!
Sourcing Tip: Make sure to check www.liquidation.com for deals on items to resell on eBay. Make sure to run a Completed Items Search to check sales prices and make sure you can sell things for a profit.

eBay Promotion for New Sellers!
Friends,
Now is the time to get a new account with eBay. I will, in future posts, discuss the benefits of multiple eBay accounts for business or personal reasons. Suffice it to say, it's time to get signed up!
From January 3, 2008-January 9, 2008, eBay is giving away 3 Free Insertion Fees and 3 Free Gallery for New Seller. This is a great opportunity to get a new account set up and get a few feedback on it with free listing! (http://pages.ebay.com/promo/firstlist2008/)
One of the best reasons to have multiple userid's with eBay is to seperate your buying and selling account on the site. As you use PowerSellerNow tactics and sourcing options you will begin to see the need for seperation of buying and selling. I mentioned that I would go over this in the future but hey, why not go into it now! The reason for seperation and multiple accounts is for record keeping. An eBay business is just like a brick and mortar business...you live and die by knowing where your money and inventory is at all times. I've seen so many eBay accounts, even Power Seller accounts, that tell me and feel like they are making a ton of money and have eBay figured out...until all their 0% credit card balance transfer offers come due and they don't have the money to pay. You show me a company that is new, hot, overpaying employees and spending on non essentials, and I'll show you a company that is close to going under....same with eBay.
Use an account to purchase inventory, a seperate one to sell. Use a spreadsheet to track your profit and your costs and don't let your eBay summary that shows all the product you've sold to go to your head.
I have added a couple of links on this page to sign up for eBay accounts. It helps me if you click on those to get a new account. Don't forget to visit www.ebangels.com for more great tips!
Thanks,
Powerseller Brian
